Itinerary
Upon arrival at Mulu Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to the luxurious Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa, nestled deep in the Bornean rainforest.
In the afternoon, meet at the resort lobby for your transfer to Mulu National Park HQ. After registration, begin a 3-kilometre plank walk through lush jungle to explore two of the park’s most spectacular limestone caverns:
- Deer Cave – One of the largest cave passages in the world, famed for its colossal size and dramatic bat exodus.
- Lang Cave – A smaller but equally captivating cave adorned with delicate stalactites and stalagmites.
At dusk (weather permitting), witness the incredible bat exodus as millions of bats stream out of Deer Cave in spiraling formations—an unforgettable natural phenomenon.
Return along the same jungle path and transfer back to the resort for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart by longboat up the Melinau River, beginning your day of cultural and natural exploration.
- First stop: Batu Bungan Penan Settlement, where you can interact with the nomadic Penan tribe and browse their intricate handicrafts.
- Continue by boat to visit two of Mulu’s other famous caves:
- Wind Cave, known for its refreshing breeze and stunning King’s Chamber.
- Clearwater Cave, featuring one of the longest underground river systems in Southeast Asia.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Clearwater summer huts, and take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear spring pool nearby.
Return to the resort by late afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the resort. The morning is free for you to explore the surroundings or indulge in optional leisure activities such as cycling, fishing, or rock climbing (at your own expense).
